About This Course

The aim of this unit is to introduce learners to knowledge, ability and critical understanding of regulatory and legislative requirements relating to industrial and Intellectual property laws. This unit enables students to appreciate and understand the financial issues faced by an organization’s management and the activities undertaken by an organization to have effective financial management. It examines relevant issues including financial strategy, debt and equity management, the key drivers of shareholder value, corporate governance and asset portfolio management.

Requirements

  • A bachelor's degree or an equivalent qualification
  • Should be at least 22 years of age
  • or

  • A minimum work experience of 5 years

  • Evaluate the underlying rules relating to intellectual property laws.
  • Evaluate the associated laws and procedures relating to copyright and trademark.
  • Analyze the forms of industrial property rights including patents and utility models for inventions, industrial designs, trademarks and geographical indications.
